Maroc Telecom is Morocco’s leading telecommunications provider, with a vast presence across the country. It operates over 220 offices and serves millions, both domestically and abroad.

Project Overview & Objectif

For the Hajj seasons of 2018 and 2019, Maroc Telecom launched a special offer tailored for Moroccan pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia. The objective was to communicate this offer clearly and emotionally through a TV commercial broadcast nationwide.

create a visually engaging animated TV spot that:

  • Informs Moroccan pilgrims about the telecom offer.
  • Reflects the spiritual and cultural context of the journey.
  • Fits within broadcast-ready standards in terms of pacing, clarity, and style.

My role

I was responsible for bringing the provided visual boards to life using motion graphics. The assets were delivered in layered PSD files, and my task was to:

  • Design the animation flow and scene transitions.

  • Maintain visual consistency and rhythm.

  • Add typographic animation, icon motion, and camera movements that enhance clarity and emotion.

Approach & Execution

The animation was built scene by scene, focusing on:

  • Smooth transitions to keep the narrative flow uninterrupted.

  • Motion techniques that emphasize both cultural respect and marketing clarity.

  • Timing synced with the voice-over and music for optimal emotional impact.

 

The final video was split into four preview snippets, each highlighting a key moment in the storyline — this allowed for focused social media previews and modular content sharing.

Conclusion

The commercial was successfully aired across Moroccan channels and contributed to strong awareness for the pilgrimage offer. The modular preview clips were also used on social media platforms, helping extend the campaign’s reach.
